TextileSeekers Creative Fellowship Award 2025

Creative Fellowship Award 2025

Explore the art of textile craft with the TextileSeekers Fellowship Award 2025

Immerse yourself in the rich world of indigenous textile traditions with a transformative opportunity offered by the TextileSeekers Fellowship Award 2025. This extraordinary program invites one passionate creative to embark on a 6-day journey through Mai Chau, Vietnam, exploring the depths of cultural heritage, slow fashion, and sustainable craftsmanship.

What Is the TextileSeekers Fellowship Award?

Born from a shared passion for celebrating women’s connections to traditional textile artistry. Rooted in a deep respect for the skills passed down through generations of women artisans, this collaboration honors the hands, hearts, and heritage that keep the art of textile craftsmanship alive. Together, we seek to empower women creators, storytellers, and changemakers who are preserving these cultural legacies while shaping a more sustainable future for fashion and design.

Returning for its third year, the Fellowship grants one creative the chance to participate in the March 2025 retreat, a once-in-a-lifetime experience to learn directly from indigenous textile masters in the serene landscapes of Mai Chau.

The TextileSeekers Experience

TextileSeekers is more than a travel program—it’s a slow, immersive creative retreat designed to forge meaningful connections with communities and master artisans. Rooted in authenticity and intention, the journey blends the discovery of craft, culture, art, and fashion. Participants gain hands-on knowledge of ancient techniques, such as natural dyeing, weaving, and embroidery, while embracing the freedom and reflection that solo travel offers.

Luxury here means time—time to be present, to listen, and to evolve. TextileSeekers encourages every participant to reconnect with their inner creativity, leaving them inspired and renewed.

Meet the TextileSeekers Founder

Thao Phuong, the visionary founder of TextileSeekers, brings nearly over two decades of experience as a fashion designer. Driven by a passion for craftsmanship and sustainability, she launched TextileSeekers to explore and preserve traditional textile practices beyond her ancestral roots in Vietnam. Inspired by a transformative journey to the hill tribes of Sa Pa, where she witnessed the artistry and fragility of indigenous textile traditions, Thao shifted her focus from fashion to slow craft. Her mission is to build a global movement that celebrates craftsmanship, empowers artisan communities, and redefines the future of ethical artistry.
